Matthew Underwood - Character Commandant 1

1. Pg5, "Kinos breath whistled in his nostrils and he opened his mouth to stop it". This implies that Kino is breathing hard because his baby is in trouble and he is nervous. 2. Pg5, "Under her breath Juana repeated an ancient magic to gaurd against such evil". Juana is singing this song to ward off the evil (the scorpion) and she is trying to stay calm. 3. Pg6, "He threw it down and beat it into the earth floor with his fist". This tells us that Kino is very angry at what the scorpion has done to his baby (Coyotito) and is disapointed in him self. 4. Pg6, "But Juana had the baby in her arms now". Juana is holding the baby comforting him trying to stay calm and find someone to help. 5. Pg11, "I am a doctor, not a veterinary". The doctor was not of Kinos people and did not help Kinos baby, he came from a race where for nearly 400 years, they had beaten and starved and robbed and despised Kinos race.

    You have great writing here and I really enjoy the quotations in which you have chosen. Although I would really enjoy this blog more if there were pictures or other forms of image to keep my eyes entertained.

      I personally agree with the statement above. Pictures, videos and other forms of media will help this blog out tremendously. Try adding spaces in between quotes also for a more visually satisfying post. Other than that, this blog really tickled my fancy

    Good start - like your group has mentioned try to add spaces, images or other media to your posts. What do you think of Kino - would you make similar decisions as he has?
